SMAC is the 501(c)(3) nonprofit that gives Stoughton residents the ability to create and produce their own Public, Government, and Education access programming.

WHO WE ARE

Stoughton Media Access Corp. (SMAC) was established in 2009 as a not-for-profit corporation to provide the Stoughton community with public, educational, and government cable television services; access to SMAC’s television facilities; and training for residents, students, and businesses in Stoughton. SMAC’s main studio and offices are located at 421 Page Street, Suite 2. SMAC also has equipment/facilities at Town Hall, Stoughton Public Library, the Jones School, and Stoughton High School.

SMAC airs content on three cable channels provided by Comcast (Xfinity) and Verizon (Fios). Government programming, such as Select Board and Town Meeting, airs on Comcast 8/Verizon 24. Public access programs, such as community events and member-produced shows, airs on Comcast 1073/Verizon 28. Educational and school programming airs on Comcast 6/Verizon 26. All three channels are live streamed on SMAC’s website, and most content is published on our YouTube channel as well.

Stoughton Media Access Corporation Mission Statement:

Our mission is to serve as a vital resource for the Stoughton community by providing access to independent, local, Public, Education, Government related programming that are timely as they relate to events affecting the Town of Stoughton that inform, inspire and educate. We are dedicated to providing unbiased and equal access for all points of view to the public, local programmers and government stakeholders that ensure Stoughton residents have access to transparent and topical content. We strive to provide access to the equipment, studios and public spaces throughout Stoughton to foster the expression of all points of view for informational and entertainment purposes creating a forum with positive atmosphere in which all Stoughton residents belong.
